As a young child, when I came to know that families come in different varieties and that adoption was an option to build a family, it struck a chord in my heart. When I saw families with adopted children, though very rare, I would often daydream of being a part of a similar family.

I first became a father over two years ago when Lorelei (now 28 months old) was born, and more recently became a dad to Kiefer (five months old). I am originally from the UK and moved to Beijing in 2013, soon after I married my wife. Our daughter was born a year later, and so began our family’s breastfeeding journey. ​

I am the proud mother of breastfeeding twins. We live in Lebanon, which does not have a strong breastfeeding culture. With the help and support of my husband, I have overcome many obstacles. We were both determined to give our babies the best nutrition possible so they would grow up like normal and healthy singletons.
